In Her Own Words:
"What Helped Me to Decide"

Mary Jones, Temporary Professed: "The Mission Statement, which spoke strongly to me of being in the mission of Jesus, drawing strength from the power of women and working with others for justice and peace. And then as I learned more about the Adrian Dominicans, it was the diversity of ministry within the mission."

Janice Brown, Temporary Professed: "I knew the sisters from working with them in my local parish, and from being taught by them in elementary school. When I got to know them as an Associate of the Adrian Dominicans, I saw the women in their ministries, shared life with them, and saw the face of Jesus in a way I had never seen him before. I simply fell in love!"

Lorraine Reaume, OP, Finally Professed in 2005: "Late one evening I was very tired and was perusing material from different religious communities. The last batch was from the Adrian Dominicans. Much to my surprise, as I read, I found myself feeling energized and full of life. A thought appeared forcefully in my mind: This is where I can be the woman God made me to be. I have held on to that thought over these eight years, and through my living of this life I am becoming that woman."
